Special Lives
We were set up in 1997 to provide support and assistance for families with a brain injured child through:- Sharing information and experiences at a practical level through our discussion forum.
- Regular information sheets covering areas including care, education, therapies, special equipment, technology, vehicles, holidays, leisure activities and accommodation.
- Putting families in touch with organisations that can help such as voluntary support groups and professional agencies.
- Making families aware of their rights and potential entitlements as well as helping them to understand the roles and responsibilities of public organisations including social services and local education authorities.
